Our Mission

Volunteer Emory's mission is to provide the Emory community with service opportunities that promote learning about self and society, while striving to meet the needs identified by community organizations.

Volunteer Emory was founded in 1980 by Emory undergraduates Debbie Genzer and Wendy Rosenberg (pictured left) to serve as a centralized vehicle for undergraduate service. Today, Volunteer Emory is a program of the Office of Student Leadership & Service that facilitates service opportunities and social justice work for Emory students, faculty, staff and alumni.
